Via Carera

Portrait of a narrow street of shops in a small Mediterranean town early in the morning. Suppliers delivering goods, shopkeepers, the day’s first passers-by enliven the scene.
Via Carera seems to be removed from time, and Christoph Weihrich, with his black-and-white images in a rigidly metric film which was edited wholly in the camera, follows great models of Austrian avant-garde film such as Kurt Kren and Hans Scheugl.
