Belly Dance

A triptych: Left and right (at the beginning and end): a belly dance performance with the dancer practicing in black and white (Part 1) and color (Part 3), as observed and accompanied by her female companion. Whirring, laughing, post-oriental kitsch music, non-binary bodies with golden fleece. In the middle (Part 2) appears the gaze of the woman looking into the camera – an ironic take on the economy of desire. (Andrea B. Braidt)
