Born 1938 in Ardning, Austria. 1957 - 1960 University for Applied Arts Vienna (not finished).
In 1964 Brus started, together with Muehl, Nitsch and Schwarzkogler, the "Viennese Actionism" ("Wiener Aktionismus").
Exhibitions: Dokumenta in Kassel, Tate Gallery, Centre Pompidou, Louvre, Biennale in Venice...
