General Magic

General Magic – once described as »perhaps the strangest, least stylistically constrained project on the Mego label’s roster« – is a duo consisting of Andi Pieper and Ramon Bauer. General Magic’s audiophonic jewels such as ‘Fridge Trax’ (with Peter ‘Pita’ Rehberg), ‘Die Mondlandung’ and ‘Frantz’ (both recently re­released by Editions Mego) as well as the pixel­precise digital sonic journey of ‘Rechenkönig’. In 2022, after a long­ish off­time, General Magic released a new EP ‘Softpop’, a wild and weird beauty of powerful post­digital electronica, also including the studio version of ’Prototipo.
