In his work Georg Oberlechner deals with the fragility of hegemonic stories and the strategies of self-representation of  authoritarian societies. His research-based artistic practice oscillates between archival work, installation and filmic exploration. He studied fine arts and cultural studies in Vienna and Buenos Aires. Numerous national and international exhibitions and screenings, including: Sewage Sludge, Kunsthalle Exnergasse, Vienna (2020); Face Value, Transmediale, Berlin (2018); Invisible Bodies.
