frameframer

A rotating video feedback event becomes a moving and transforming pattern by selecting a small image detail multiple arranged in a matrix. Through the seriality in the horizontal lines and vertical columns of the matrix the original circular movement will be transformed into a linear one. New Forms in movement and movement as form come into being.
The sound is generated by the video signals of the rotating feedback video that are converted in audio signals and dubbed with the linear moving patterns. Therefore the visual transformation of forms and movement is happening in an invariant sound space. The original rotating feedback video is hearable.

(Production note)

frameframer shows one result of a simple concept relating to the generation of patterns of moving images based on video-feedback materials. The video signal from the rotating feedback forms is converted directly into audio signals and made audible by means of analogue and digital processing.
