Thomas Steiner confronts the ideas of the 19th century Italian Romantics with images of today´s off-the-beaten-track Italy. Layer upon layer, fragmenting, and giving insight and understanding of what lies beneath. The ever further-reaching fragmentation creates countless parallel impressions, a dynamic combination of historic and contemporary images of the Lazio landscape.
