Junges Kino von Frauen*

In the last two years, young female directors in particular have attracted attention with exciting works. In their cinematic narratives, they present female characters who act and react according to their generation and for whom gender norms and cultural attributions are at most worth questioning or melancholy contemplation. Without larmoyance and struggle, they are concerned with individual life plans that sometimes have to be found first. The legacy left to them by their elders is no longer an insurmountable obstacle.
