Christiana Perschon: Experiences In The Moment

Christiana Perschon approaches her “chosen relatives” Tatjana Gamerith, Linda Christanell, Karin Mack, Lieselott Beschorner, and Isolde Maria Joham without putting the act of documenting or visualizing in the limelight. “To me, this is about the instant of recording,” says Perschon, “a total experience in the moment.” Together with these artists, she finds a form that allows a cinematic exploration of the subject and an introduction to their ways of thinking and working via analog production processes. The program—which also includes the recent work Bildwerden (2022)—becomes a Portrait in more than one sense: both an approximation of Perschon’s work and a look at portraying as an act of self-determination.
