will have been. The apartement of Heinz Frank and other special rooms. Films & Talk

Tue June 6, 2023, 18:00 h
Metro Kinokulturhaus, Freier Eintritt

At the center of a pointed selection of films dedicated to the manifold relationships between space and the moving image is "will have been" by Sasha Pirker. The short film (17 min, 2022) is a poetic foray through the apartment of artist Heinz Frank, who died in 2020, adapting the structural conditions of a typical one room/kitchen/cabinet apartment to his personal cosmos and creating an intimate retreat full of surprising details. His daughter Lilli Breuer fights for the preservation of this small-scale architecture, in which - in every cinematic sequence anew - the particularity of "living in" unfolds.
