Irit Batsry

Thu Dec. 13, 2001 - Sat Dec. 15, 2001, 8:30 p.m.
Filmhaus Kino

Irit Batsry Born 1957 in Ramat-Gan, Israel, lives in New York since 1983. Studies of ceramic art and video at the Bezazel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. She works mainly with video and installations, which have been exhibited and awarded internationally. Irit Batsry mostly confronts us with the process of abstraction and the question of the traces of sight. The dissolution of the real world of signs and objects into a translucent, fleeting electronic image defines the texture of her video works.
