What is a disability - or just as importantly, what images, sounds and complex forms of behavior go hand in hand with it or can be made tangible? Blind Taste explores this question on the basis of a walk by two blind people. Images or impressions from the staged everyday life of the protagonist Hiltraud Schmidt - a spastic - and her companion Franz Bittermann present A real life behind the balcony. Both talk about how they got to know each other and their current love affair. He acts mainly with the help of language and gestures, sometimes as an "extended mouthpiece". Their articulation space is trained in gestures, gestures and physical actions such as playing the piano or painting. In a social system in which illness is exclusively negatively connoted or associated with suffering or deficiency, A Real Life Behind the Balcony shows almost unheard-of images that make physical dysfunction visible without exhibiting it, and also lend it a fun touch.
