Four filmic works about specific phenomena of urban space. ORTEM examines questions of perception, speed, architecture and memory in the spatial system of the subway. In Worst Case Scenario, John Smith works with over 4000 photo stills that he took on a street corner in Vienna. In May 2nd 2004, 3.30 am we hear a night-time confrontation in a London apartment building, recorded by chance. In the concluding video essay Das Gelb ohne Zebra, an urban space of perception is transformed into a narrative space through a subjective transformation. City as organization, narrative as movement.
