From the question of the nature of cinema itself to film history, the coronavirus pandemic and filmmaking within the family, this short film program covers a wide range of topics. It begins with orphaned movie screens in the landscape - on which nature plays with light and shadow.
In KOPIERWERK, the printer and cinema machines continue to turn in a never-ending dance of images, sounds and letters. The two-part image in EDGE OF DOOM allows affected female figures from the early days of cinema to interact with each other, to which KLITCLIQUE soberly states: "Women in pairs, that's going too far!" Or is it? Sybille Bauer and Sophie Bösker deal with the "monster" family in their works: once in a melancholy, painful way and once in an ambivalent, cheerful way. (Florian Widegger)
